Laurie Ringaert, Principal Consultant, brings over 25 years of experience guiding organizations through strategic visioning, governance renewal, and systems change. A Certified Professional Facilitator (IAF)Credentialed Evaluator (CES),and Systemic Team Coaching–Certified practitioner, Laurie integrates systems thinking, evidence, and inclusive engagement to create strategies that are both visionary and actionable.

Laurie has led strategic planning and transformation initiatives for more than 100 organizations, including the Manitoba MuseumCanadian Council of Ministers of the EnvironmentManitoba First Nations AIDS–HIV–STBBI Awareness GroupInterior Universities Research Coalition, and numerous community-based and Indigenous organizations across Canada.

With over 30 years of board and executive leadership experience, Laurie understands how strategy, governance, and culture intersect to drive organizational learning and impact. Her facilitation style is collaborative, creative, and grounded in respect for diverse perspectives—helping leaders move from insight to action with confidence.

Faciliation and Engagement For Change

At Change Weavers Consulting, we design and facilitate engagement processes that help organizations listen deeply, build alignment, and move toward shared action. Whether bringing together communities, partners, or teams, our facilitation approach creates spaces for dialogue, reflection, and collaborative problem-solving—ensuring every voice is heard and valued.

We also offer Transitions Workshops—facilitated experiences for individuals and organizations navigating change. These workshops support renewal, reflection, and purposeful next steps, whether through leadership transitions, team realignment, or personal and professional rewirement journeys.

As a designated public engagement consultant under the Government of Manitoba’s Standing Offer Agreement (2025–2026), Laurie is recognized for excellence in facilitation, Indigenous engagement, and culturally safe consultation. She has led more than 100 engagement initiatives, including projects with the Manitoba MuseumUniversity of ManitobaCanadian Council of Ministers of the Environment, and multiple newcomer and Indigenous organizations.

Drawing from a rich facilitation toolkit—World Café, Open Space Technology, Liberating Structures, Appreciative Inquiry, and the Art of Hosting—Laurie ensures engagement sessions are meaningful, participatory, and productive. Her background in community health, research, and systems thinking ensures engagements are inclusive, evidence-based, and strategically aligned.

Laurie is also a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal, recognizing her leadership and contributions to community engagement and public service.

Research, Evaluation, and Program Design

Laurie Ringaert is a CES Credentialed Evaluator and Certified Professional Facilitator with over 25 years of experience in community-based research, program design, and implementation. She specializes in developmental, formative, summative, and impact evaluations across health, education, university, government, and non-profit sectors. Her evaluations blend rigour with relationship—producing actionable insights that improve programs and strengthen accountability.

Laurie’s evaluation practice emphasizes equity, participation, and utilization-focused learning. She has led multi-partner evaluations for Indigenous health programs, newcomer initiatives, and public health interventions—supporting data-informed decisions that drive real-world change.

With over 30 publications, including over 15 peer-reviewed journal articles and 17 monographs, book chapters, and other works, Laurie actively contributes to advancing knowledge in health equity, accessibility, Indigenous health, and community-based research. Her publications reflect both scholarly depth and practical application—bridging research, evaluation, and policy to support more inclusive and effective systems.

Her specific skills include survey design and analysis, interviews, focus groups, engagement circles, qualitative data analysis, and knowledge translation into engaging and useful reports.
